Support Us
Donations
Donations made to the Friends are managed through a trust fund and can only be spent on Arboretum projects. Donations may be made - or sought - for nominated projects or, if a general donation, pooled to support a current or future project.
Projects are selected by the Friends Council from proposals that have been identified through consultation with the Arboretum Executive and that meet the general criteria of providing beautification and enhancing the local community and visitor experience at the Arboretum.
Donations have enabled the establishment of the Friends Garden atop Dairy Farmers Hill, Zig Zag Garden 19 (Saltbush), the Friends Forest Shelter, the Working Bee equipment trailer, the documentary – The National Arboretum Canberra – A twenty-year story, and more.
All Friends trust account funds are protected by law and can only be released with the approval of our
appointed trustees for Arboretum projects.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible. See our registered charity status at the
Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission Website
